A collaborative poem written by all of Room 8. This poem expresses our feelings about anger looking through the eyes of Arlo from Arlo and the Orca by Monique Walker.
Anger
Anger feels like letting your rage out
A clenched fist
Blood, salty sweat
Growling and yelling
Rough and hot
Like a red face
Anger smells like danger
Like air
Shouting and screaming
Painful and hurtful
Madness and crazy actions of destruction
Like smoke
Burning Coal
A fire raging and growing limitlessly
Anger is an emotion that you wanna show or not
It starts when we get upset about something
This week, Monique and Stacy came to class and presented Monique’s book. We learnt that it’s okay to cry and that life can be a moody, stormy with waves of emotion but to remember the sun will always come back and shine.

Everyone’s lives are tapu. It is our job to look after for ourselves and others in the community.
Opening a heavy door, a path leads to a glorious land. Murmurs and whispers flooded into my ears walking through an isle of wonder, hands waved and eyes laid on me. Confused in and out, I had asked someone where to go. Finally arriving, I enter a room with a dull light, walls painted grey, and an intruding smell of plastic. Children my age flood the room, with paper planes flying and others colliding. Sitting down on a wooden chair, drastic flashbacks fill my head. I had felt for a moment, that the abomination and terror had ended. For a first, life was at peace.

Playing with my friends
Interesting and chaotic
They can sometimes be annoying
Loud but welcoming

We make decisions according to our conscience. I have created an ordered process to help work through my decisions according to my christian values.
Today, the Manaiakalani Film Festival was held at the HOYTs Cinemas located in Sylvia Park. 11 schools within Manaiakalani had attended, all mushed in chaos inside 3 cinemas and at about 11, everyone was seated and ready to watch. One movie had me laying eyes midway into the film festival, Point England’s Movie about the Vodafone Warriors. Me as a rugby fan, not particularly league, can still understand the struggles of form within a rugby team.
